We Have…
Dr. Jillian Iris Okeefe (Owner)
Dr. Jillian Iris Okeefe first got the idea to pursue a career in optometry because of her middle name: Iris (Get it? Like the iris in your eyeball!). She liked the idea so much that, after majoring in chemistry at UNC-W, she decided to attend the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She first joined C Eyewear in 2006 as an associate, but fell in love with the practice and decided to pursue ownership in 2011. The most rewarding thing for her is hearing from patients that they always feel at ease and that all of their vision needs are met when they visit C.
Outside of work, Dr. Jillian Iris Okeefe loves spending time with friends, family, and her two huge cuddle monster dogs that she adores. If she didn’t already love her job at C, she’d consider a career as a yoga instructor for dogs!

Evan Brennan
Evan is an ABO-Certified Optician with 15 years of experience, 10 with C Eyewear. He enjoys inspiring confidence in clients by pairing them with confident eyeglasses, and doing all he can to have every patient seeing better than they did before visiting. When not at C, he’s at home with his two kids and growing collection of plants.
Emena Santiago
Emena is a NC Licensed Dispensing Optician and has been practicing for almost 9 years. She loves taking the time to collaborate with patients to find their perfect eyewear match. She finds it incredibly rewarding to make sure patients can see, look, and feel fabulous in their glasses. When she’s not at C, she can be found watching movies, eating great food and having a few cocktails.
Scott Schell
Scott is C Eyewear’s self-professed “Jack of All Trades,” having worked in a variety of industries before recently joining our team. He’s excited to learn all he can while helping C’s patients get the answers, eyewear, and solutions they need. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors, hiking, camping, and riding his motorcycle.
Jessika Ziglar
Jessika loves it all: helping C patients find the perfect pair of glasses, assisting new contact lens users, or aiding the doctor. That’s why she refers to herself as “The Swiss Army Knife of C Eyewear!” She believes in elevating eyewear beyond a medical device, and outside of C, can be found with her two cats, Mittens and Cat Burger.
Jade Buchanan
Jade is an easy go-to at C for all things aesthetics! Her expertise is backed by over ten years as a professional makeup artist, and she loves to make people feel comfortable in their eyewear. Outside the office, she creates nostalgia content on social media, takes care of her fur-babies — Leonard and Zsa Zsa — and spends time with her fiancé.
Samantha Maldonado
Samantha is our multi-lingual magic-maker at C! She loves helping people find solutions for their specific needs — even when it’s paperwork. In her free time, Samantha can be found spending time with her children, attending or hosting cookouts, and working out at least five days a week!
